Are you able to pull more shadow detail from the RAW files of your NEX-7 or from the 5D Mk III? You get more or less noise in the shadows from the NEX-7? And do you get funny looks from model's you've never worked with before when you shoot them with the NEX-7? Do they doubt your professional skill and ask why you're shooting with a point and shoot? ;-)
The nex has more dynamic range than the 5DIII, never have to pull details from shadows on either. The NEX7 has more noise than the 5D, but not much; it makes up for it in dynamic range though.
Haven’t had anyone question the camera I use. Most of the models I shoot are experienced enough to know its not about the camera that makes a great photo. But I’m sure for many it is their first time a photographer uses a small compact camera to do a photoshoot, they just don’t say anything.
